Default pop top help

I made a pop top can last week using a pineapple can and I had a hard time getting the bottom glued on. Does anyone have a suggestion to help. It seemed like the bottom was too small after I used my can opener to open it.
Thanks:confused: :

Wink Pop top can

I think I know what you are talking about. I know pampered chef has a can opener that opens so you don't have ragged edges. When you open the can with the opener you have to use a special tool on the opener to take the lid off the can. Once you clean out the can you can pop the top right back on and you can't even tell it was opened. I know of people who have used this opener and opened several cans without knowing they were opened. You probably can get these can openers other places but that is where I got mine.

They're called safety can openers...and most grocery stores and Walmart carry them (I got mine at the mart for about $7). They actually open the can around the rim rather than inside the rim.

Thanks for your advice, I will try that. What do you use to glue the bottom back on with?

I use Crystal Effects from SU. I am actually going to be making some tomorrow for my Stamp Camp! Can't wait.

Thumbs up safety can opener

Yup I have a Walmart one, too, and it works great. I also use Crystal Effects, and then I put a smaller-diameter can on top of it (like an 8-oz. can of tomato sauce or something) to weigh it down as it dries. Works great!

You cut off the bottom of a fruit can and clean it out decorate the outside and refill with some kind of goodies, then glue and replace the bottome. Then someone can use the pop top to open and get there goodies out. The attached picture I got from a website but don't remember where sorry not to give credit.
