Default tying bows

I need help! I cannot figure out how to tie bows that well. I like the flat kind that have just the two simple loops that lay flat . . . I like the flat knot kind. I can't get it right. Anyone have a nice step by step that can help?

Go to page 2 and "how to make this bow" shows the 'flat bow' I think you are looking for.

Thanks for the bow & flat knot tying video tutorial. It's nice to have it all on one tutorial if I need to refer back to it. I'm still practicing these bows & still need to review these videos every time I tie a bow. I'm such a visual person but I'm not sure why it's so hard for me to remember.
Thanks for the great video!

Ok this one works great.

Take a something you can put two pencils into.
or use other halfs fingers.....

take a length of ribbon and find the centre.

wrap the ribbon round your pencils or fingers.

place one length over the other pass it through the gap of the pencils underneath the ribbon and bring it back over the top of the ribbon to the front, then do half a granny knot and pull tight. now just remove the pencils and you have a flat knot.

look for bowshaper

this way you can make loads the same size.

My grandmother used to have me help her tie these kind of bows!

It is funny how things that you did as a kid comes back when you are stamping/scrapbooking.
