[QUOTE=FRESHKID;7133344]Judy: were you looking for the original tote template or my BC Awareness bags (since you quoted my post, I'm confused). As CraftyMom said, the first post contains the original template. As for my BC bags, I haven't made them yet. When they are done (or at least one), I'll try to figure out how to post ... if that is what you want.
My plan (so far) using SU "Hope Is..." Set:
pink paper with the "Believe" versamarked/stamped on the sides (I was going to versamark the ribbon all over the pink paper, but I think the stamp is too big)
the accent color to be white with the ribbon from SU "hope is" on it (maybe the "hope is believing in a brighter tomorrow" on the other side)
I originally thought ribbon for the handle, but may do paper instead for cost and ease of attaching to the bag. I got some heart-shaped brads for attaching the handle
I don't know if that is what you wanted, but there it is! Sometimes it helps me to get everything straight in my mind, if I write it out.[/QUOT
Hello...I got it figured out now...I finally found the original templates, after months of trying to figure it all out...so, I have made them already. They are very cute and make a great gift. Thanks for your post. Judy
Thanks, Scarlett. I've been looking for this. Can't wait to make some!

Hi Ladies:
last night i prepared my template to make the purse but i have a big question...
I scored and cut where indicated and i made it to the full sheet of card stock, but when i fold it all to shape the side where they meet what do i do to make the two side flaps stay together.???
Do i put tape on the inside? I can;t figure that out and that has stopped me from making more.. I really want to do these I got some gifts to make for x-mas..
So please can some one explain...
thanks in advance...

Hello this is my first time here and found this thread. I got the template already but didn't see any instructions for it. Can someone please share with me how to assemble these adorable totes using ribbon for the handles. I would really appreciate it. Thank you!
Drucila
These little tote bags are AWESOME!! Especially when I figured it out. Took me a minute to figure out where to score. They are so easy and will make great gifts! Thanks for sharing!!
These are absolutely adorable and would make such great gifts with the cards inside. I printed off the template but the measurements you have shown don't match what I printed. Do you have to enlarge by a certain percent? Also are there any written instructions anywhere that you could share with me. I'm just starting out with papercrafting and it's not always readily apparent to me what should be done.
I just made a tote set and used this template. This is what I recommend, center the "bottom" portion of the tote (the centre lines) along the side of the 8 1/2 x 11 sheet. Then, take your pencil and mark, with small dots, where the lines are placed. Take your ruler and draw straight across.
Score edge lines, as in directions, and the bottom of the tote lines. Fold along each score. Clip, from the outside edge inwards, the bottom of the tote, but clip only to the margin's score lines. Fold as seen in photo. Those clipped edges will go inside your tote. With double-sided tape, tape the sides together.
You can take cardstock and place it over your side seams to make it look like part of the purse by using matching cardstock that you used on the front.
I made a front pocket on my front and used this space to place my 3 x 3 matching gift card.
Thanks so much for your instructions, sunflowersanddragonflies. The Spring Tote you made is beautiful and I like the pocket on the front. Can't wait to try it.
Hi.. Just want to say thanx .. I saw this tote being made when I was at a ''Bind it' demo.. we were given the sizes but I lost them.. I can now get started on making them for my craft ladies .. thanx again ..
Here is my version that I made a few weeks ago for a gift for my friend. I made coordinating cards to go inside and envelopes. I used ribbon for the handles.
