I am looking for recommendations for an inexpensive data base application for my desktop Mac that will sync with my IPad. I have a multitude of stamps and dies that I would like to inventory and organize on a database. I would prefer to make a one time purchase of the software rather than paying a monthly fee and would like to be able to include a picture of my product with the data base entry. Also want some thing that is relatively easy to use. I would really appreciate any ideas/suggestions you may have. Does anyone have any experience/feedback with IDatabase or Airtable?
You might want to consider something "in the cloud" that is web-based so you can access it from anywhere. We discussed some options in this thread: Cataloging your stamps. - Splitcoaststampers
Evernote is in the cloud, and it is web based. You can access it from any device that has an internet connection, and the app is available for iOS and Android. There is a subscription available that has more storage and features, but I find that the free version suits my needs just fine.
Another vote for Evernote. I have the free version and am on a Mac and iPhone. You can either upload either an image from the web or a photo from your device.
I use Evernote, as well. I love it. My favorite part is the Search in the Tags feature. When I added all my stamp sets and individual stamps, in the tag space I typed any words and phrases of sentiments. When looking for a Happy Birthday stamp, for example, I type in the words "happy birthday" in the search box and all the sets/individual stamps appear in alphabetical order with the words "happy", "birthday", or both in them.
This may not work for you but there's a post over at "mission organization" that talks about a new app "Color My Life". You can keep track of basically all your products and include photos, keywords, colors, etc.
Good ideas but I think it might take the rest of my lifetime to catalog all my stamps! I started doing that when they all fit in one box, but now they're in four BIG boxes, plus a Tim Holtz binder, plus CD cases, and more. We're talking thousands. I used to be a SU demo so have about 50+ of those sets too, still in the boxes.
