I have 60 Stampin Up stamp sets. I've tried several different methods for storage. My husband bought a huge cabinet with double doors. I thought that I could stack them alphabetically. Lots of wasted space behind the sets. Help!!!
My space isn't done yet, but I plan to have narrow, rather than deep, shelves. The front of each shelf is going to have a piece of finish moulding on it so that a cafe rod can be installed to hold my punches. The shelves will be over my stamping table which is just the inexpensive folding table from Sam's club.
I have added more containers because I bought a bunch of sets when the new catalog came out and my friend gave me a bunch of sets recently so I had to redo my labels. I just haven't gotten any new photos taken yet.
I used to store mine like this but now I store them like this. I had two of the bookcases full and had run out of space so I unmounted the Stampin Up sets and I am so glad that I did.
I tend to store my sets first by category, and these can be whatever you want. I use Holiday, Kids, Nature, Hostess, etc. In each category I stack them on the shelves in a bookshelf from largest to smallest on top. So, I have a half shelf dedicated to holiday stamps and they are just arranged on the shelf by size. I find that as long as I have an idea where to look I can find them quickly. Hope that helps!
Thank you for responding to my stamp set storage problem. I won't have time to remove the wood from my stamps until I retire. One of my friends has removed the stamps from wood and grouped them in three ring notebooks by subject. She doesn't know what to do with the wood now. Leaning toward the Target tubs.
I used to have some tall bookshelves when we lived in Missouri and have also had the rail system with shelves on the wall.. when we moved here I bought three of the 9 cube bookshelves from Lowe's and store them all on them, works great!

I converted a closet into a storage space for my stamp sets and other craft stuff. We used the bi-fold doors, my hubby nailed some strips of wood on the cupboard sides, and the wood from the doors is laid across for the shelves. I have two shelves that hold my 70 plus SU sets. I am not an orderly person, but do need some structure. so I sort them by piles of : holidays, floral, animal/people, sentiments, backgrounds. I still have room for many more sets.
