Question Making Memories Precision Trimmer???

Does anyone have this trimmer? How does it compare to the Cutterpede? I have a Cutterpede but it doesn't give you a perfect cut 100% of the time or 75% for that matter. I am not opposed to spending $50 for a cutter I just want it to give great cuts.

I have the MM paper trimmer..the one that is 12" and folds under to make it ssmaller. It worked great for about a year and then it started cutting jagged edges on the paper. I was not happy.

I e-mail MM and told them about my problem and they sent me a new one! All I had to do was send them a photo of it for proof that I had one, and they sent the new one. I'm very happy with it. The first one lasted a year and I'm on the 2nd year with this one.

I have no idea how it compares to any other trimmer. I've seen other threads on the subject of trimmers.

Did you do a search? g

I just recently bought this trimmer after using a friends -- it's a great trimmer! I easily like it as much as my Tonic and I've loved that one since day 1. Yeah, I know, how many trimmers does a gal need . . . well, evidently, one of each!

I love my MM trimmer...got it for xmas last year. I used to have the fiskars cheapie, but got tired of the crooked cuts. I love that the MM trimmer folds in half, it's great if you have limited space. Never used a cutterpede, so can't compare for you!

I have it and a cutterpede. I like my cutterpede for small cuts, 1/8 or 1/16 but the MM one cuts very sharp and straight each time. More than 2 sheets of CS though and not so much. I cut many sheets of paper for a swap and then I had the same problem as someone posted above. I contacted MM and they sent me a new one but I have not used that cutter again for large swaps just for my scrapbook. Because I too have lots of paper cutters!

Michaels sells it and you could use a coupon. I paid full price for mine and would buy again as I like the sharp cuts and the idea I never have to buy a blade for it again.

I also have the MM trimmer and LOVE it! I, too, had problems with mine in the beginning and had it replaced by MM. They have THE BEST customer service!!! I love that it is self-sharpening and folds up. I used to use the Fiskars Euro Trimmer. HATED it! I've not used the Cutterpede, but a friend of mine had one and I remember her having some difficulty adjusting to it. Can't really recall why, though. Good luck!

I do like the cuts I get from my MM trimmer. The only issue I ran into with is then I want to make a small cut and need to "eyeball" it. KWIM?
You can't really see the edge of the timmer, so everything needs to measured
from the left hand side.

My hubby bought one for me for Christmas from Archiver's. The cuts were really jagged. I brought it back and the clerk told me that they had a lot returned. She said a new batch would be coming in and to check back.

In April I bought one at the LSS. After using it for about 2 weeks, it started to cut jagged. I can't return it b/c I can't find my receipt.

I contacted MM, and am waiting to hear about a replacement. I checked my status and it says it is in process. It's only been a few days, so I'm being patient. The clerk at the LSS said she contacted MM about another product and they replaced it very quickly. It's nice to know that such a big company has good customer service.

I love mine! It is a bit bulkier than a Fiskars Euro, but it cuts straight.
