Default Pillow Box Die with Acetate?

Can anyone help me here? I just got my BS, Die and crease pad yesterday but can't seem to get the sandwich for the acetate to cut all the way through. Carol

Well, after trying many sandwiches, I got it! Here is the order of the sandwich in case someone else would like to know:
Clear Plate
2 Shimmer Sheets
2 Pieces of CS
Die
Acetate
Crease Pad

How big is the pillow box? I'm curious how many Hershey Kisses or Nuggets it will hold. I'm thinking of ordering this die at my demo's next stamp camp.

Thanks.

Default Pillow Box

It's very small but you can fit 5 or 6 hershey kisses.

Carol - you rock! Thanks for posting this. I was having the same problem and knew that someone here on Splitcoast would have the answer. Your solution is perfect and gives a clean cut and a solid crease.

Default Shimmer Sheets

They are the two white sheets like acetate that came with the BS package.

These are the shims. DO NOT THROW THEM AWAY! use them, alone or together depending on the thickness of your paper, transparency, etc.

Thanks so much for posting this Carol! I've gone through more than a few sheets today trying to figure this out before I found this thread. I was about ready to give up. But your solution worked perfectly for me!

Yikes! I hope I have these somewhere. I don't remember getting anything like this but I might've just thought they were trash and threw them out!

If, on the off chance you have discarded them, I have found that you can also use a scrap piece of card stock as a shim.

What brand of transparency film did you use? I've been experimenting with different thicknesses of shims too.

Cheers, K

I bought mine from Sam's Club-online. They are by innovera technology essentials. last printer transparency film. (# IVR-65125, if that helps!)
I made 100 of these for my Christmas craft fair-big hit!
I used both shims and the crease pad and they practically folded themselves. LOVE IT!

What's the best adhesive to use for this? I tried to make one this morning and my adhesive shows through (I used scor-pal tape).

Scor-Pal tape is excellent to use, as is Tacky Tape, red-liner (they are all the same) but unfortunately will show through.

I just tried mini dots and it looks a lot cleaner and seems to hold pretty well .
