Default Souffle pens?

Hi-

I saw these at ACM today and was wondering what they do and how they work? They were kinda pricey, like $15 for a set of 6 pens..like black, white, green etc. Please post a card using the pens. It said that it gives your drawing dimension?? confused..thanks!

Souffle pens are pens that when you color/write, create a dimensional, raised image. Souffle are muted and Glaze has a shiny finish. I bought souffle, which I like but do not love - just because it's sometimes too transparent and also, and I don't know if I have a bad batch, but it's not so raised!

I bought my SIL the glaze pack, which she loves. I bought a 2 pack of glaze in black and I love it. I think you should try the Glaze -- with a coupon of course!!

BTW, if you do a search for souffle in the gallery-it'll pull up lots of cards!

I have both sets, Souffle and Glaze. I like Glaze better. Both add dimension, but Souffle is opaque and Glaze is shiny. Souffle is supposed to be good on dark card stock. I prefer the colors of the Glaze pens better. The Souffle are very pastel, and that just is so not me.

I have a few souffle pens - I don't love them but I don't hate them either. They aren't the first pens I go to but every now and then I like them.

I have both sets of pens and I love the Glaze better...the souffle's that I have don't really raise that well either. I have yet to try them on dark cardstock.

Default here's a sample

this is a sample of souffle on the purple hearts and the green leaves-since it is opaque it covered the lines on the leaves and I corrected that with another pen
then this is a sample of glaze pens
I too like the glaze better, will replace (with coupon) as I use them. They do have a little height, but I don't think the souffle are as raised and probably won't replace them. I suppose on dark papers souffle is better.

I agree, like them, don't love them. My thing is that they aren't always a good match for the colors I'm using.

If your interested by a 2 pack of the white or black for a few dollars to test them out. I got the 10 pack or 8 pack from createforless for 12.99. If you do like them they are much cheaper online.

I love to use them on transparencies/acetate. Here are a couple from my gallery:
