I recently bought some tombow markers that I love. The store I bought them from recommended using them with a special paper so I bought some while there. I've almost ran out and can't remember what the paper was called (and the store is in Kansas and I live in Missouri). It's 8.5X11 and somewhat slick parchment paper. Does this ring a bell with anyone? It's the best way to use tombows and a water pen. I guess I could always call the store...
They are the same as SU markers, aren't they? So it was probably a clay coat paper like SU whisper white. I think most art supply web sites sell a special marker paper. Watercolor paper would probably not be the best for regular marker coloring (as opposed to faux watercoloring where you move the marker ink with water just like it was paint) because it would absorb a lot of ink and your markers would dry out sooner.
I think I know what paper you're talking about but I can't remember what it's called (of course) so if you figure it out, please let us know or it's going to bug me all day! LOL!
Thanks, all, for the responses, I think it's the marl paper one gal suggested. Yes, I got the paper originally from STamper's Ink in Shawnee Mission. I appreciate being able to come to this forum and get answers!!
