Default Tombow not sticking?

Has anyone had problems with the tape runners not holding? I have a customer who even backed it up with the "green glue" - the one in the white bottle with the green lid, and that lifted, too. Anyone else have trouble? I suggested using a blow dryer, but how inconvenient is that???

I'm with Gale - I stopped using runners years ago for that reason and use the Mono Multi glue (the one you're describing) and that has never lifted. If she's applying that glue on top of a strip of adhesive runner it that might be the issue. But paper to paper - that shouldn't go anywhere. I am 100% a liquid glue person now.

Yup, me too...I made cards ahead of time to sell and some came apart while putting them on display. That was it for me. Tombo glue all the way....never had a problem since then.

I seem to be in agreement with everyone about the Mono Multi. It sticks like....well, you know. I've never had much luck with tape runners, but I've never had a card using the MM fall apart. When you know some people save cards, you want to be sure they stay intact!

Yup, the tombow adhesive runners are good if you want a temporary hold, but nothing for the long run. I haven't used the liquid mono, but I do use an ATG and its been one of the best dry adhesives I've used. For liquid glue I usually use Zip Dry these days.

Here's another idea about the Mono Multi glue: if you put the glue on your item and just let it sit until it feels tacky, then it won't be a permanent hold when the pieces are put together. If you adhere your pieces while the glue is still wet, then when dry your card layers won't be going anywhere.

I'm another one who only uses the tape runner to hold temporarily, like to hold ribbon ends in place while finishing the rest of a layer. For a permanent hold, it is Mono Multi all the way!

The Tombow tape runners do NOT hold....I even wrote to the company to let them know....I just won't be buying it any more.
Mono Multi never disappoints.
