I've decided that from now on all my SU stamps will be put on vinyl cling, but I need to know more about how to store them. I also have a few sets from other companies that are unmounted rubber. So what are my choices and where would I find various systems?
I am so anxious to see the results of this thread-I have very little room and even less dedicated room for craft supplies. I am going um'd on 90% of my stamps. Not sure if I should store in cd cases? the notebook thingys are nice but aren't they bulky? So I am anxious to use everyone elses experience-I will def. be checking back.

I have numerous ways of storing - which someday I would love to do ONE thing...but for now, what I have works for me.
My PTI stamps, are all stored in their CD cases that they came with, as are the few CTMH sets that I have.
My Pink Cat Studio stamps (which I've never mounted onto EZ Mount -- I use double sided tape right on my blocks) are actually kept by set, in nugget tins. I keep the paper label folded inside the tin, so you can see the name of the set through the window.
My CC designs stamps (before they came out with the tins/cd cases) are on white boards, along with my Anya's and my Missy B Designs sets -- those are stored in a 3 ring binder.
So while, it's not perfect -- I have a solution for each of the companies, so I kind of know where I'm looking for a particular set, KWIM??
I hope you find a system that works well for you, I think it's a 'personal' kind of thing, and what will be best for your space and needs. Good luck!
I have found the perfect solution for storing my unmounted stamps at Stampendous. Checkout the video from the owner of Stampendous. They are 8 1/2 x 11 similar to the clam shell cases that Stampin up has and have three different sizes. The thin is great for any of your clear sets and sells for 2.49. You can store them in a magazine rack. I love them....check it out.
I use cd's for 99% of my unmounted sets, but use the binders (but I didn't get them from Gina K's store) for some of my larger sets. One of the scripture sets that I have from ODB would have taken 3 CD's so I put that set in a binder with other ODB sets.
I adore the Scraponizer storage cases. They're perfect for cling-mounted rubber stamps. You can fit stamps on both sides, plus if you buy one of the clear folders for the cases, you can fit stamps in the folder inside the case as well.
I use CD's for my storage and I'm very happy with it. I also started using the thin ez mount too. I like to keep things consistent and this storage method works for my stamps and my nesties. I stamp my images out on a square piece of cardstock cut to fit the inside of the cd case and then run it upside down (so the stamped images become sticky) through my Xyron machine and attach it on the inside cover so I can see what I have stored in each set. I also label the spines. HTH.
I use CD cases as well. It has made such a HUGE difference in terms of space. I have my nesties, PTI sets and any other acrylic sets I've purchased stored this way. I wish I had done this years ago.
I have nearly 100 sets of stamps, so I found a good deal for the cases on Ebay. Much less $$ than buying them at retail.
I LOVE my storage system for my unmounted stamps. I have just under 900 unmounted stamps, and they all fit in 25 of these boxes:
The CDs were too small for me, and I would have needed zillions of them. Each box holds between 3-4 pages of stamps. You can see complete details here. The boxes run $3-4 each, and the company often runs sales too so you can get them even cheaper. I hope this helps.

I love your indexing system with your storage binders. I have the ones from Gina K and I was trying to figure out how to list what is in which box, you have given me the solution thanks for sharing.
Patter I was hoping there was a system like yours out there at a reasonable price. I have a few PTI sets in the CD cases so I've tried that method. I have so many sets to unmount and really thought I'd end up spending too much time looking for sets in CD cases. I got another system (just one box) to try it, but I felt it was too 'floppy' and although a good system still not what I wanted. The box/binder combos I found were much more than your system. This is a great help! BTW I recognized your Scrap n Cube storage system. I have it too and it's the best!
Hey Gail, so glad to hear of someone else with a Scrap 'n Cube!!! Awesome! It is definitely the best storage unit out there IMO. I have had mine for 4 or 5 years now. It still looks brand new, and I LOVE it still just as much as the day I got it. Here is my unit right after I got it but I have since added to it. Here are a couple more recent pictures:
I also have several more pieces on another piece of furniture, and I also have a free standing unit on casters now too. Love them all!
And glad I could help with the binders. Jackie1, and I am glad my index helped. And the binders I use are just like Gina's. Same size and everything. And Martha, Leslie, and Erin, I don't think you would be disappointed if you tried them. They are sturdy and wonderful! They hold so much!

Patter, thanks for posting the photos of your craft space! It's awesome. I recognized your room from the S n C site, I often go there & look at the ones customers have posted. I got my first pieces of S n C 5 or 6 yrs. ago and have added to it a few times. I think it's the most versitile system out there. Mine looks like I just uncrated it also.
I use CD cases stored in 97 cent plastic crates stacked against the wall on the back of my desk. I label them with the set names and then sort them according to theme and label the sections as well with address labels. This keeps everything in clear sight and I can just go to the theme I want and see my choices on a glance. I also have my inks, cuttlebug folders and 6x6 paper pads stored there as well. I'll try to get a photo later when my little guy wakes up and post it on my blog.
I was just on the Univenture site looking at the binders...and if I am reading it right, those binders that Patter uses are ON SALE for $1.07 ?!?!?!?!?
