Well have been to the Martha isle and it is good !!!! Yes your style totally dictates what you buy,but Ithink if you do the math, the price for the most part is worth it,you don't pay S&H on top and you have it to go. As has been said before the coupon is a perk and sometimes you have to suck it up. Did pay $$$$$ for SU sets that still sit on the shelf, NO coupon but I had to have them. And like my HUGE amt of SU stock you have quality,...Yes I sound like I am trying to convince myself, I want another punch and just placed $120.00 SU order,...NO COUPON. So on that note...Yo Ho,Yo Ho,...it's off to work my DH goes,...oh heaven help me...
I love her stuff, the ribbon and twill is a great deal some of the ribbon is a little more expensive. Like 3 yards for 8 dollars. But the twill was 3 dollars for 10 yards. I love her patterned paper and punches too. The glitter is my favorite, for 5 dollars you get 1.5 oz. and the spout really is handy. SU's glitter is 4.50 for a quarter of an oz I do believe. When her stuff first came out I went to just check it out and ended spending $120.00 on MS stuff. I also got her glues to try out and one of her acrylic blocks to try out.

Trying to decide what do do with my ribbon. I have it in 3 photoboxes right now. The roof gutters people are using look interesting, if you have the wall space. Probably the Martha boxes are too expensive for me because I have too many spools. Don't think I want just a dowel set-up on the wall because what if I want the middle spool??? You'd have to pull off 3 yards to get to your card if you didn't take the spool off. Hmmm...
I thought the MS stuff at Michael's was very pretty and the displays are very impressive. When I looked closer, though, it was like a sampler of various crafts, so probably more geared to someone who wants to do a project once in a while for a specific event (and wants to be able to say it's Martha Stewart), not addicted stampers/scrappers like me. I also have a problem with not being able to use the 40% coupon-what makes her stuff so special?
One of the biggest benefits to me of SU! is the Idea Book and Catalog where you can see many ways to use the products. I just mailed a whole box (at least 500 sheets) of non-SU! cardstock to a charity because I love SU!'s color families. I have the cardstock, ink pads, reinkers, markers, ribbons, brads, etc. so I never have to worry about stuff matching, and I always have the right color for any occasion.
Just wanted all you ladies to know that I went to Michael's this week with my 50% off coupon and I noticed something different on the coupon. The coupon no longer states that the coupon is not good on Marth Stewart's items. So I selected the soft hand craft knife and went to the check out.
The clerk said.. YOU CAN NOW USE OUR COUPONS ON ALL MARTHA'S ITEMS.
So next time I have a coupon I will purchase something else. My friend purchased a punch and she said the it works very easy with one hand.
So see what happens at your Michael's.

I haven't bought any of the Martha line, mainly because the color scheme does absolutely nothing for me. In fact, I rather feel like a bull in a china shop going down that aisle at Michaels. ;)
As for those gigantic albums: my friend Peggy thinks they would be great for her daughters' large portraits (studio photography), because you could easily put an 8x10 or 11x17 portrait on one page, with a little matting, and it would look really nice and clean. She's thinking it would be great to have one album for each girl, into which would go their formal portraits in chronological order and nothing else.

I am really going to check the stuff out tonight. I bought a scallop punch on a whim this past weekend but I didn't like the tightness of the scallop. I didn't have a ton of time to look but I am heading back tonight to possibly exchange it for something else.

I really like a lot of it. Love the punches and how they stand on end for storage. Her ribbon is really pretty, too. The packaging is almost too pretty to open. I haven't tried any of her paper products, but will be going to Michaels again today to check out what's new. (40 mile drive)
Now that you can use coupons on her merchandise, I think it's a great buy. I must confess that I bought 6 punches at full price and didn't blink an eye.
I don't know if any of you have tried MS seam binding tape (looks like ribbon on the spool). I bought some because there is one that is a perfect match for Soft Sky and another that goes beautifully with Groovy Guava. The seam binding ties beautifully! It's softer than satin ribbon and taffeta and is very easy to work with. And the MS colors work very well with SU.
I have 2 punches and the seam binding ribbon that I just love. I just bought some glitter and glue which I haven't used but all of the glitters are just beautiful.
I am thinking about the clear alpha stamps in the serif font but haven't bought them yet. May have to do that before the 50% off coupon expires.

Me, too! 'Cept, I've only got 4 punches. So far. ;)
I love her piped ribbon, and the seam binding, too!

What do I think of Ms. Stewarts' stuff? Its late in coming, extremely large and overpriced. I wished she would have come out earlier with SB and craft stuff a lot earlier and normal sizes. Her paper designs mirror her personality. I hear a lot of people like the punches.
