I Have a hard time with my cropadile also. It ruins the eyelets, mis shapes them and ruins the paint on them.
I too do not like my crop-a-dile for setting eyelets. Never did figure out how to do it without ruining the eyelets. Crop-a-dile is still the greatest for the long arm hole punch feature and since I don't use many eyelets on my scrap pages and never on cards all is good........ I talk everyone that asks out of purchasing one for eyelet setting though.
I have to say the MM paper trimmer also, the first few cuts were great thought I found the best thing ever then the squeal began when I would cut and the paper always looked like it was distressed even my husband said please get something different he even went with me to make sure I purchased something.
Mine would have to be the fiskars paper crimper I just had to have, it's never been used. And the circle cutter tool that I purchased because it looked so awesome at the scrapbooking convention, that sucker was so darn hard to use! I eventually gave it away along with the replacement blades.
Agreed! I got an oval cutter from Fiskars....never worked evenly! I've rarely used the crimper, but that I wouldn't get rid of. But the oval cutter....definitely!
The Slice!!! My clay and the oven to bake it in! And what was I thinking with some of that paper I purchased?????
With my mother in a nursing home environment, it's another great way to get rid of items you don't want. It's wonderful dexterity therapy for the patients, and since many of them are unable to leave, they can make cards to give to loved ones, or make cards for others to give!
I think that the new SU owl punch is so cute, but I don't know how often I'll use it.
Other than that, the crop-O-dile (I never use it) and the texture plates for the Big Shot (I prefer the embossing folders).
Then there are about 1200 sheets of 12 x 12 one-sided paper.
Val
got on pintrest and see all the other things you can make with it. it is just great. I have made some cute cards as well as other things for scrapbooking and they are just so fun to make your owl into a bat or tons of other things. I sit and make the things so that I have them for later when I need something else.
As for something that buy and dont use is mainly stickers. Or the pre printed vellum. I thought it was so cute with all the sayings but I forget about it.
Saw this in my subscriptions and thought it might be fun to revisit.
I'd like to add the Design Runner. I think I've used it twice but can not bring myself to get rid of it!
I just got a Design runner and design maker plus 7 discs and its working great! A nice add to my collection. I have just started with making my own wording
I bought two sets of the letterpress plates, but not the ink or machine that you were supposed to use them in, figuring that I would be able to make do with things I already had. I suppose, with a little experimenting, that I could do so, but lack of time has kept me from it so far (for at least three years, lol)...
I'm another one who has stickers that never, ever see the light of day, as well. I've gifted quite a few of them where I thought that they' be appreciated, but the ones I have left are waiting for me to make a "worthy" project - what is the matter with me?!
Lately I've been wondering if I regret spending money on any/all of the things I've acquired for this craft - but I'm pretty sure that that's just my lack of mojo talking, and I'm hoping Dare to Get Dirty kicks it back in...
Was moving some things around and discovered another set of items I have no idea why I felt I "had to have them" and some point. Tag Makers by Making Memories. It never worked well and was a huge pain in the backside. And yet I still keep them and all their things that go with. Why? ugh

I bought a set years ago at Tuesday Morning and hated them. They went to the garage sale a looong time ago.
Another thread reminded me of something else...
Spectrum Noir markers - I should have done a test run with a few before buying so many, as I'm pretty disappointed with them...

What do you not like about them? I have alot of Copics and some new SU alcohol markers but I am tempted by the price of these. Thanks!
They don't seem to blend as well as the other alcohol markers, I don't like the tips very well (maybe that's WHY they don't blend well), and they dry out very quickly. Totally disposable, in my opinion...

New version or old version of Spectrum Noir. I know there was a lot of issues with their old version but most people seem really pleased with their new version.
I didn't go into Spectrum Noirs- I considered them when they came out, but after watching the videos on Crafters Companion site, I didn't feel that even the experts got the same sort of seamless blending that people get with Copics and Promarkers. It was the price that first attracted me too, but I distinctly have the feeling that here, you get what you pay for. Don't know if the blending has improved at all with the new pens, sticking with my Promarkers. I do know that there are small sets of 5 blending colours, you could buy one and try it out, not much lost then if you don't like them?I remember on here Angelnorth got a pack when they first came out and tried them, and was not impressed.

I was unaware that there were "versions"... I suppose I should be open-minded and give the "new" ones a try, but I'm not all that motivated... I really, really like the Bics and the Prismacolors, so I'll just stick with those until I get motivated enough to try Copics or ShinHan Touch Twins...

There was a HUGE problem with the original markers drying out because the caps didn't close properly to prevent the alcohol from evaporating. The new version is supposed to prevent that.
Yes, the Bics are alcohol markers - and cheap - but they don't have any true pastels. The colors are relatively saturated and vivid, but I just fill in the blanks with other brands. Here are a couple of threads that discuss the ShinHans:
The first alcohol markers I ever bought were the Prismacolor Premier (2003), and I still pick those up when I only need one or two to fill in a gap in my color spectrum. They come in styles with a chisel tip and a fine tip, or in a brush nib. I need more practice to be comfortable with the brush nibs, so I usually get the fine tip/chisel tip style.

Have you tried cleaning the track and oiling the cutter. It's late but I'm almost positive there was at least one MM paper trimmer that required lubrication when the squealing started. Anyone recall what area you oil?
I wrote to EK Success (they make MS score board) about how the scoring tool was wearing away. They sent me a new one.

she really should ditch that scoring tool that comes with it, and put one of her better tools in there.
I actually really like my Crop-a-dile! The only time I don't like the result is if I forget and squeeze too hard - THAT is when there are issues. A light touch is the key for me...
I used a friends Crop-a-dile and was going to get one but then I realized I needed a longer reach so I got the Big Bite that I really like for punching holes, but for the life of me, I still can't set a eyelet. But, I haven't used an eyelet in ions so it doesn't really matter.
I kind of regretted my Crop-A-Dile too. I am eyelet challenged with that thing. I love the hole punch. WRMK just should make a CAD that punches holes. I know they got their knock off leather punch. I want a heavy duty CAD hole punch. I would pre-order it.
I would have to say my Paper Crimper... The crimper is the most tool that is pushed a side or is place in the cupboard or in a closet, when I'm looking for something else to use. -sigh- Maybe there needs to be a swap somewhere, where we have to get those old tools out and have to use them somewhere on our projects. lol

I agree! I was messing with my paper crimper today!
I would say the Cricut. I gave it to my daughter. It would never cut through the paper I wanted to use! HATED that thing! Another bad investment was the old Xyron Design Runner. Anybody remember that dumb thing?! I still have it as a reminder to myself to think before I buy!!!!
