Sometimes the hardest part of your page is the title, journaling, and just finding ingredients in general! So Im challenging you to cook up a pot of "Alphabet Soup!"
Mix up a page element using the website> http://www.abcya.com/word_clouds.htm After you have your word cloud you can print it off and use it as an element on your page, or if youre a digi scrapper you can save it to your computer and use it as an element or as the background.
Dont know what words to use? Think of just one word that describes the page youre working on and then go to http://thesaurus.com and find all the synonyms that go with that word. For example, if you want to use delicious all of these words could also be used to describe what youre doing:
1. To be considered for VSBN Prizes, ALL VSBN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EST ON SUNDAY, June 26th 2011
2. You have 2 hours to complete the challenge. Please be sure to write your description of how you interpreted his/her challenge in your Upload Description.
3. Please remember to put in the correct KEYWORDJUN11VSBNL when uploading your image; a wrong keyword means your submission may not be seen for consideration. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure you layout is seen by the host and all visitors
Can we use a page with words already on it, instead of going to the website?
I mean if it applies to our page? I have several papers like that, but will have to look at them. If not, will have to kick my DH of his computer, so I can print it off! LOL
Thank you
Sharon

Sorry Michele, I wasn't trying to make work for you :(
No that's fine. SCS didn't show you as being online so I was trying to help you. No biggie! I have felt like I have been running in circles for the past week so I know how you feel. LOL!

I am hoping to use something other than printing off of the website as well...My printer died during our move and I have not yet replaced it. I like the idea of using the words in this manner and it's something that I've never done before...

we're usually pretty flexible around here w/ challenges Sharon & Linda ... word paper or words together is similiar. Fortunately I printed mine off earlier because I can't get the word cloud to work right now so

I finally got it to print but really big. So I am using the part that is usable, because it was so big it cut off some of the words. I am supposed to be smarter that a kid; that is a kids site! LOL
Well, now to see how I can use this cloud! If I can't I will go back to plan one!
Thank you
Sharon
Oh now we have storms!

It still takes me about 15 minutes between posting a reply and actually seeing it appear on the screen. My DH says his blackberry is acting weird too cause I guess when he tries to go on the internet it defaults to the last thing looked at and that was last night when I was trying to work on SCS at the ballgame. He says it was an endless loop and he couldn't get it to quit so SCS must be having issues.
I finally found a template to start with and I've got the cloud and the pics so now off to find paper and embellishments.
I heard on the news that United Airlines computers crashed today and they have delays and cancelled flights across the country! Must be internet issues on a grand scale?

WEll, I am resting. Reading the chats and commenting on the pages in the gallery.
I have my cloud, but don't know what to do with it. I may have run out of gas. I have done 8 pages (counting the appetizer) since last night. I am numb!

that's a little scary.
Has anyone doing digi pages been able to save the word cloud and use it. I can save it but I can't import it into my digi program.

I never thought of that! I heard about it too on the news.
Well I've got my page done...now to try to upload and then go check out the last one. I've gotten lots done this weekend which will be a tremendous help for next month as we go on vacation and I probably won't have time to do too much unless I get ones done in the car on the trip to Myrtle Beach.

I did. It saved as a jpeg and I brought it into PSE9 and used it. Talk about strange. I am typing this on DGS computer cause I have been waiting for 7 minutes now for the post that is above this one to "post" on my laptop. Very funny that it's already posted! Once my laptop clears the reply, I am going to upload the page. I love the colors it defaulted to and used them for my background and matting and the one color matches my picture exactly! How cool is that!

OK. Here's my page before I call it a night. Only have 2 more challenges to go to have them all completed! Kind of glad I've got the rest of the week too since for the one I'll have to find some tutorials and practice before I try it on my PSE9 program.
I absolutely LOVED this challenge!! I couldn't use the website above because the words just weren't turning out to be what I needed for my page. SO I went snooping through my things and found a BUNCH of stickers!! I created a few word "clouds" on my page! I have never done this before and I absolutely LOVE this idea!! Thank you!!

How is everyone getting their word clouds to print small? I can get it to print but it is real big!
That is what my big problem was! I finally saved it to my computer. But then it took an hour and lots of tries to get it in location in my computer where I could change the size! I finally was successful. But have no idea how I finally accomplished it. But you have to save it, I think.
Now I have it and two photos. So will try to do a page!

Okay, seems like I'm not the only one having trouble with the 'cloud'...prints out huge. I've been trying to save it but can't figure it out; I may have to use an alternative method...though I really like it! If anyone knows how to save it, let me know.

Where it has a choice to print, there is the choice to save. I pushed save,
then saved it to my documnets.
then somehow I got it opened in photos, but couldn't get it smaller there, finally got it to works where I could make it smaller. This whole process was not easy. It took me a long time and lots of tries, and if I had it to do again, I probably couldn't do it.
I should have saved in something else probably.
Maybe someone else can tell you how to do it.

Yeah! Worked on it some more and figured it out...PAGE DONE!
I will use that cloud idea again! Maybe even for a card. How fun.
I designed my page around the colors that came with my cloud - chose one with a white background so the printer wouldn't use that much ink. Printed it on white card stock and matched the papers, used them in strips to go along with the formation of the words. Moments with my DGD
