Hi ladies! Does anyone want to fill in for me with the Ways to Use it challenge this morning? My dog passed away in the night and we're dealing with grieving children etc. this morning. He's a large dog and lived 13.5 wonderful years with us.
If you're going to take on the challenge...please post below so that we don't have more than one challenge.
Oh Julie - my heart goes out to you~ Been there, done that.~ Not fun.~ I tell my husband there are dogs, and there are goldens, and I love goldens, not dogs....so we will always have the short life of a big dog to deal with.....so sad.~ I would help with the challenge if my daughter was not in the hospital as I type having a baby.....BUT I will say a prayer for you and your family as I know how sad that is.~
Thanks Karen! I really appreciate it. He was born on Christmas Day 1997 on our property and has been a special member of the family. As a Sherpherd Rottweiler cross, people were afraid of him but he was the gentlest dog I've ever seen.
Oh Julia!!! Yes, my heart goes out to you and the kids...he had a wonderful full life with your family. I'm so sorry. Hugs to everyone.
I've emailed you something (not WT related)....just for comfort

Can't even play today, but I popped in to see what I would be missing. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of a beloved pet!! This is so hard. Saying a little prayer for you and your family!!
Hugs,
Oh Julia...I went went through this in March. Mine was a Rottie Rhodesian Ridgeback mix that people were afraid of. My heart goes out to you. It's an awful thing to go through.
Julia, I'm so sad to hear you lost your beloved pet. They really do become part of the family and it's very difficult (especially for the kids) when we lose them. Thinking of you and your family.

When we had to put our 14 year old mutt down almost 2 years ago, our oldest SWORE he would never have another pet as it hurt too much to say goodbye. Time does heal the raw hurt as we now have an australian cattle dog to fill in that void.
Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers as you all deal with the loss of your family member ('cause that's what they are, you know!!)
Oh, Julia, I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds like he had a wonderful home here with you, and I bet now he is surrounded by bones and kibble while waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge.
I just read this morning's post and want to send my deepest sympathies to you and your family. I don't have pets, but I can imagine it cannot be an easy thing. Much love, Peggy
Julia,
My heart goes out to you! Our furry people become such an integral part of our lives. I hope healing comes in time-with all the wonderful memories.

Julia: I am so sorry to hear about your beloved pet...they become so much part of the family. We recently lost our dog too this past March and I had a hard time with his passing (he was 12 yrs old). We adopted him from a shelter and he spent 8 great years with us. It will take time to heal but know that he is now looking over you and your family in doggy heaven and playing with my doggy. HUGS!
I'm so sorry to hear the sad news, Julia!
