I really wanted to case a card from this week's FS, va.sunshine, as I am a huge fan of her gallery, but this is the first I've had a chance. I needed a Thoughts & Prayers card as I want to send one to each of the Pastors remaining at my church after the passing of our Senior Pastor this past week. I'm sure they will be going through grief and reorganization and lots of stress, so just wanted to send my thoughts their way.
I selected this card from Teresa's gallery because it was beautiful, for one, but I thought the layout would work well for my card. I had to change a lot about it because I needed masculine christian, so the colors were changed and embellishments to lend a more masculine feeling, but I adhered pretty close to her layout. Thanks Teresa for your inspiration and enjoy the last day of your special week!
I used some Euro Vintage paper I had in my stash and I embossed and sponged it - Lovely Linda will be so proud as I don't do that very often and she's the master of it - gold embossed the cross and sentiment, added a distressed button/thread and minimal ribbon to try to keep it more masculine. I also paper pierced around the image square and sponged that too.
To Anne Ryan and Debzi: I used buttons for my photo shoot this time instead of marbles so you can't tease that I've lost my MARBLES!!! LOL!!! I'm sure the buttons will mean something just as bad!!
Thanks for taking the time to look. I hope to get my second one done today, but I'll have to see how time goes. There's still so many of Teresa's cards I want to case and I want to do FEMININE!!!!
If you have a chance, let me know what you think. Thanks so much!

Pam, once again, I'm so sorry to learn about your pastor's passing. What a lovely and elegant card. It's so thoughtful of you to create cards for all of the other pastors too. Beautifully done. I love it's understated elegance.

Pam, this is absolutely beautiful with the gorgeous, embossed cross. Beautiful dp, also. So thoughtful of you to do this. I think this card would fit right into the StampinB challenge this week for a masculine sympathy card. You should check it out if you like.

Ms pam, what a kind and sensitive thing to do: send the other 2 pastors a card. This is just magnificent. wonderfully masculine and definitely warm. Such a loss and such transition. you have a really huge heart: that's just one of the things I so admire about you.
