This was a card I made for a friends birthday recently. The stamped image is from Sugar Nellie, Gorjuss Girl range. I stamped the Gorjuss Girl on pearl card and coloured her using Copics in muted tones to give a slight vintage feel. She was then cut out and mounted using Pinflair Gel Glue for dimension.
The top half backing paper was distressed around edge very slightly using Old Paper distress inkpad. The bottom half is book binding leather (I was in publishing). It was embossed using Stylish flower embossing folder (Cuttlebug). When I did it I was intending using the good side up. But once I did it I actually preferred the wrong side as it was matt and looked distressed and went with overall feel of the card. I then stuck to card with double sided and sewed using machine around outter edge of both backers. I used cream cotton on the black and black cotton on the cream.
I separated both sections using black sequins.
The message is die cut using nestabilty label for black section (the right side of book binding leather) and Quickutz nesting die for the pearl cream section.
The flower is a dark grey premade paper one with a Craftwork Cards pearl dot in middle. The swirls are punched out of black card.
Finally I added a small Glitterati dot either side of greeting.
