The challenge is to make a card based around the theme of play and I chose camping. Myself, I prefer the wide open spacesÂ…all day longÂ…and four walls at night with a soft warm bed but I have gone camping and thatÂ’s how I know what I prefer!
Great challenge Julia, IÂ’ve actually had the camper set for over a year but never used it.
-Masking of the pickup and camper was done with sticky notes to create the scene.
-Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps were used to color the image using the Gamsol technique found in the resources section here at SCS. Baby oil replaces the Gamsol.
-The sky is sponged using my hand made acetate cloud template.
-Some flower stems and where the two mountains meet were drawn with a black marker.
Tools – Stampin Up – ticket punch, mat pack, Bazzill piercer paper stumps, sponge, cloud template, stamp positioner

What a creative scene, Roxie! I'm not much of a camper either, I like a nice bed, no mosquitoes and that porcelain fixture with a handle! : ) The panorama around your truck and camper is great!

Great card, Rox. This is how I like camping: watching someone else do it. :-) Looks like fun, but I'd rather have a luxury hotel and room service. Terrific job on the sky, great coloring, fabulous truck and camper. Love it.
