Thanks, Cav, for bringing forward the brayered sky technique this week. I had done years ago and didn't like what I had done and just never tried it again. I like my card this time around.
I used dusty durango, more mustard, and so saffron for my sky and loved the look. I also used sponges rather than a brayer because I didn't like the finished look with the brayer--pretty harsh lines.

I love your card too. Aren't they just the cutest little guys....Everytime I see them I think I must remember to order those little birdies. Your colours are wonderful and whoever receives that card will be very lucky indeed - Tfs

Great card, Susie! I hadn't thought of using these little dudes for this challenge. Very fitting. I love your sky with the different colors blended so nicely.

What a gorgeous card - I love it! I know what you mean about lines when you use a brayer - that happens to me too. I am glad to see what wonderful shading you get with sponges.
