My son was born mere hours after Christmas 2007. We did a little 1 year celebration, but decided to do Half-Birthdays after that. So this will mark our first Half-Birthday celebration - at 2 1/2 years old. He is totally into dump trucks, excavators, bulldozers, skid steers... So, I've made these excavator invitations and will be attempting a bulldozer cake!
This card opens and the card front is just the hills, the title is on the back piece along with the party info, all computer printed. The hills were hand cut: after sketching this out on a piece of paper, I then cut out each of the hills for templates and traced them on the card stock. Then mostly punches for the excavator: cab = tag punch, windows = 1/4" square punch, treds = word window punch, bucket/scoop = 5 petal flower punch, snipped. The "arm" is simply slivers, almost!, of paper.

Super cute card and idea. I have two girlfriends and one nephew who were born on Christmas day. I have always celebrated my girlfriends on Valentines's Day, and nephew's birthday celebration was always on Christmas Eve. TFS
