Well...this is my first attempt at Zentangles, and I'm not as enthused as I thought I'd be, nor as successful... Here's what I learned:
1) Use two pens - a slightly thicker one for outlining, a thinner one to fill in the patterns
2) Smaller (my usual) is not better here - it's too busy and you have to 'invent' too many patterns to fill all those small areas.
3) I'm not into repetition - I was over this project way before I finished it.
Now that I know a few things that may make it more successful for me, I may give it another go and enjoy it more. I'm glad I got to try it, though, so there's that! Education is always a good thing, yes?
Oh - I also learned (again) that you should stamp the sentiment BEFORE you adhere everything, so you don't have to resort to camouflage...

Funny, one woman's frustration is another woman's beauty. I absolutely love this. And what I like the most is the detail !!! I love the border around the heart and sentiment. Really great card.

I think you made a far better attempt at a real zentangle than I did, that's for sure. I really like the border. Hmm, I didn't think about using two pens, I just used the finest one I could find.
But I can tell you, I was so pleased when DH saw it and asked was it a new stamp!
Your heart reminds me a bit of a shell, the way it seems to coil round.

I LOVE the finely different and very detailed patterns in this, that is what makes it ultra spectacular in my eye and not busy at all. If this was a stamp for sale, I would buy it in a heartbeat!
