This card was inspired by two challenges - Friday's 'It's a Boy Thing' (which inspired me to make a Father's Day card) and today's Featured Stamper Challenge.
Today's featured stamper is Nikke Schmaltz - and I enjoyed browsing her wonderful Gallery sooo much!!! She has amazing talent - and many beutiful cards to choose from - but today I could pick just one.
Changes were with stampset, an added color, no stitching and added layers. The background is stamped once in Basic Gray, then a second time in Craft White. The lighthouse image was stamped in Night of Navy, then Rock'n'Rolled in Basic Black for depth. The plan was for three buttons as in Nikki's card, but three didn't seem to be enough on this one... Three layers are popped with dimensionals.
This card is for my Uncle in NY on Father's day - it's not a traditional card because just a few weeks ago he lost his wife of nearly 50 years. So this card will have a very special note on the inside, and will hopefully help him through what will surely be a very difficult day.
Thanks everyone for looking.

Very thoughtful and very beautiful. His Word shines in the darkness and will bring encouragement to your uncle.

This is absolutely gorgeous! I am so sorry to hear about your aunt's passing- I am sure that your uncle will need all of the encouragement he can receive at this sorrowful time. May the Lord sustain him in the days ahead and bless you and your family!

I had to go WOW when seeing this! Very beautiful lighthouse in blue, my favourite colour. I know this will make him smile, to know that you cared enough to make such a piece of art for him. People love handmade cards, because they know they are made with alot of time and love. TFS AudreyAnn.
