This is for 2 challenges. The one from ODBD shining the light challenge where you make your own embelishments, (which I made my own flowers, by punching the 2 different flower shapes, setting them on a foam piece and pushing a pen in the middle of each, then I lightly water-colored a touch of pink into the white center and then added flower soft in the very center)
tthe other challenge is to use pink, so I made the pink flowers, and a touch of pink in the sky.
To make the card I cute out with a nestie, the hole in the cream base, then with the dark brown paper I cute out a smaller hole with a smaller nestie.
I drew bambi and thumper and colored them with water color markers and crayons, added a touch of flower soft in thumpers tail and chest and raised them up with fun-foam shapes. I sponged the sky and stamped the tree and colored it with water color crayons too. sponged in the grass with 3 different greens and added the flowers in a silhouette form, and then stamped the saying. I glued that piece in behind.
Then I added the flowers over a swirly piece i cut out with black from a die cut and glued the flowers and punched leaves on top of that...Then finished it off with a butterfly....flowers just gotta have a butterfly.
This is for a very DEAR friend-no pun intended, but a good one..tee-hee, so hope they like it...:0)
Thanks for visiting.

I was looking at your stamps to see where the cute Bambi&Thumper image came from then reread your note and saw you'd drawn them, WOW! You did a great job not only on them, but on the beautiful flowers and sky!

Aw...Thumper too! Wendy, I love how you draw your images, and these two are precious tucked into all of your gorgeous *pink* blooms! Your sponged sky and the trees add so much dimension. Adorable! LYMI, hugs.....
