It's time for my 15 minutes of fame. I was picked as the week 7 weekly winner at CASology and, as such, get to be the guest designer this week. How fun!
This week's word is Family and there is nothing like a baby that screams "Family" to me. Right now I have lots of friends and co-workers who are expecting so I opted to make this quick little shower card using some DSP that was sitting out from a prior project. Non-traditional colors, for sure, but I think they work with this adorable little SU duck.
I masked off the sentiment on the focal image, colored with Copics and added some sparkly fluff on the duck's body and some Glossy Accents on his beak (as well as the dots on the umbrella) to add some visual interest.
Didn't have any bling that really matched the blue in the paper/water, so pulled out my Copics and re-colored some baby blue candy dots to match.

Lovely baby card, Debbie. And congratulations on last weeks win on CASology - yay!
I agree with you, nothing says family like a brand new baby (smiling). You must have known that babies are stimulated by bright colors because you have "sweetly rocked" this card with your choice of dp, Copic coloring, and candy dots. The subtle use of the sparkly fluff and glossy accent was perfect for a CAS. Lovely, lovely card.
