This week's MIX challenge is all about feathers which I love to use on cards. I bought the SU! Four Feathers set a few months ago and haven't had a chance to use it so this was the perfect challenge to try it on.
I stamped the feathers on WC paper and colored them with WC. Then I coated them in Versamark and sprinkled the fun Stampendous ep frontage in the peach/gold/white mixture. I heated it up and the result was so fabulous. Then I cut the feathers along the stamp lines to make them look more realistic and brushed them with TH Tea.
I hand-cut and rolled the flowers with my leftover WC paper scraps (also made the leaves with scraps too). I water-colored the Naturals paper bg and ran it through an ef. Sounds like it took a long time, but I color everything fast, cut fast, and roll fast - I am NOT a perfectionist which makes it a lot more fun - mistakes are only adventures - right?
I love the result and will be giving it to a friend at her retirement party tonight.
Hugz!!!

WOW Nancy! How I love those feathers you created and all the texture and color! Snipping them does make them look so real! Your color combination is gorgeous and love the background and sentiment!

What a beauty!! The sentiment makes me think of special friends I have but unfortunately are states away. A perfect card to let them know they are still in my thoughts always!
