Because I used a circle framelit die, and the sketch was for an oval, I cut out an oval and used the strong Tear & Tape to attach it offset from the circle to center it more on the card. The central star was stamped onto silver cardstock using Versamark and silver embossing powder was heat embossed. The star was then mounted using foam dimensionals to lift it off the rose glitter paper to give it some depth.
I used 5.5" x 8.5" paper with the Circle Card Thinlit die, and overlapped the paper ABOVE the right hand side of the die so it wouldn't cut it off to the die size, but instead create a third fold in the paper that could be folded back under the oval. Thereby giving you more space to write a Christmas note inside the card when it is fully opened. The hardest part for me when using this die is to cut the top layer of paper (white with black snowflake circles on this card) to allow even margins around the top panel. If anyone knows of an easy method to create these top panels that include the two oval cuts, please let me know.
