Hi all! I'm excited to play along with this weeks color challenges! I took all the inks out last night and organized myself in the hopes to get them knocked out fairly quickly.
For Mary's retro challenge, I attempted a Bokeh look, but hadn't used the tutorial (now I'll watch it ;) )
I created a mask w/heavy weight cs by punching 4 size circles. Randomly sponged the 3 colors. Attemped to use bubble wrap to added SU Craft White over the image but it started to lift the colors below. Lesson learned...heat set colors! I think I'll try a dry brush technique with acrylic white paint next time.
I digress... Added strip of vellum with one strip using ATG (hardly noticeable). Die cut hello from Crafters Companion 4x's, stacked for dimension and glued down.
Added sequins from a PP kit close in color.
Direct to paper, Coastal Cabana for mat. Adhered to grey cs.
Of course, added some circles for a matching envelope.
In spite of my mistakes, I like this card.
Thanks for looking and THANK YOU for a fun set of challenges!

Oh, Deborah, I LOVE it, and what fabulous colors! Love how you've done the Bokeh technique, and we always learn - almost every time I make a card I learn something! And you are really churning out the cards! Hugaroonies, sweet friend!

Another gorgeous card Deborah. I have been looking at this for the longest time trying to spot the "mistake". I LOVE how the white has lifted some colour, it adds to the bokeh effect perfectly. You sure have rocked these colour challenges my friend.
