Phew this card took me right out of my comfort zone and my OCD nearly had kittens ) I knew I wanted to use the embossing folder but wasn't sure what to do, but along came another challenge on colouring so flowers it was. It wasn't easy for me as I haven't coloured before but had the stash so there was nothing for it but to get stuck in and do it.
I tried my Zig colour pens first and one of the flowers is coloured using those and the other 2 using my Primacolour markers. I decided the markers were easier for me as a novice. I actually found it quite therapeutic and even my OCD liked it )
I decided to even colour in the cardstock for the background matt. I was on a roll. Some flowers were popped up and the yellow leaves after die cutting (also coloured) were popped on too. It was texture after all )
I also die stitched around the card but stuffed up and why the striped paper was added. Sorry, can't take credit for colouring that in. I used the stems from the leaves and coloured them. Gosh I was amazing myself by this stage. The tag was added and tied around the stems using some yellow twine but it looked messy so I found the cute butterfly in my scrapbooking stash and added that to give it more dimension and hide the mess. Sequins added....and note the one part hidden under the card. I'm learning lots of little tips after watching heaps of videos ), and by this stage I was impressed. Not only had I done this challenge but had also achieved a colouring in challenge.
It took me over 2 days to finish this card, so needless to say I wasn't sure I could keep up the pace but I had fun. Thank you for the challenge and for taking time to look at my card. Happy day
