I am a week behind in posting my card for the letter G Alphabet Challenge. My g's are Groovy Guava and Garden Green. My friend Dawn gave me this wonderful WPlus9 stamp and die set so I wanted to make her a thank you card using these items. I took my groovy guava and garden green ink pads and inked up some scrap paper with them. Then I worked with my copic markers until I found a nearly perfect match to these colors because they are some of Dawn's favorite colors. The flowers were stamped, colored with copic markers, then die cut. Same with the bees. The card looked terribly plain when I started to assemble it so I decided to do some sponging to highlight the flower image. I thought I was using Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass ink when I was really using Peacock Feathers so I was shocked how bold the sponging became until I figure out what I had done. I was going for a softer color, but thankfully, it still works. The word die and the matted layer are actually silver even though they look platinum in this picture. Thanks for looking today. ~Karen.

Oh my, the first thing that caught my eye was the fading from the soft aqua to the white on the right. I love your flowers and your beautiful colors. You are a master with your copics. Your flowers look so real. Lovely job!

Karen this card was worth the wait! What a wonderful stamp set gift from your friend and this is a perfect thank you card for her. Your flowers are beautiful (I had to google groovy guava ink because I wasn't familiar with it!) and I love the sponging behind them. I'm glad you got the "wrong" distress ink color because I really like this one with your flowers. And then your sparkly, scripty thank you is the perfect finishing touch.
Oh oh !! I I know guava well!! One of my favorite tropical fruit and oh as juice even more YumO. But you do know you already had me at yellow right? Lol no need for the guava on top like a cherry!! Haha high to the 9th ho!!
