Just the challenge name Gilded Faux Silk brought to mind my years spent in Japan and the beautiful gilded silk kimonos!
I stamped my leaf spray in turquoise and the dragonfly in peony randomly over my tissue paper. Then I spread modge podge over a piece of white cardstock, crumpled the tissue to wrinkle it and then adhere to the cardstock. Once dry, I lightly dragged my versamark pad over the wrinkled tissue, covered with Aegean silver EP and heat set. I finished the tissue piece by sponging more turquoise & peony over the entire piece. I stamped and embossed the fans on scraps of peony & turquoise stock then fussy cut. The Asian dolls were colored with prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut and mounted with mounting tape. The Kanji banner translates to "Listen to Your Heart" and is from the SU set Asian Art.

This is so sweet! I love your little figures and the two lacquer-like fans; and the background is quite spectacular, the soft colours and delicate stamping look great with the wrinkles and silver.
