This weekÂ’s clean & simple challenge, CAS 480 - Backyard Picnic - May 8, 2018, was to make a card that showed something picnic related.
Yippee! I needed a fun thank you card to send to a dear friend and it just so happened that SU Picnic With You stamp set was still out on my work table from a project last week. And double good, there were leftover stamped baskets that were stamped and die cut and ready to use! I love it when my leftovers coincide coincidently with a new challenge - sweet!!!
I thought it would be fun to combine the diecut basket with a mostly stamped bouquet. To add a bit of visual interest, I dropped the basket off of the oval panel, and then popped a sponged panel of SU Irresistibly Yours DSP behind it.
After I glued the panels together, I realized that the vining leaves in the background dsp were oriented in a different direction than the leaf stems in the basket. ARG!!!! IÂ’m pretending that it doesnÂ’t bug me, but it does...please tell me IÂ’m not the only one who obsesses about stupid little flubs like this.
So happy you stopped by to look at my picnic basket bouquet. Thank you! Please join us for this fun challenge, itÂ’s the perfect time to get some summer cards made for your stash!
