Stef is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us the beautiful combination of Watermelon Wonder, Old Olive and Smoky Slate. The dessert option is to use a die-cut on your card.
I especially liked the Smoky Slate requirement, as I tend to gravitate to black for my sentiments. The gray color is soft and inviting without being "in your face." Plus, the silver drops go well with it.
I am trying to use older stamp sets from time to time--a way of justifying keeping them! This is one of my all-time favorites from Stampin' Up!, Painted Petals.
This card is going to a casual acquaintance of mine who has shown amazingly amazing kindness to me several times recently, for which I am so grateful. I want her to know how much I appreciate her!
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

Barbara, this is gorgeous! I too have this set and think I've never used it. But I am inspired by your card. I love the layout with the great die, and this would be a wonderful card for our church card ministry. Need to get that one out! Thanks for the inspiration and great use of the colors! Hugs!
