I came across Paula Dobson's beauty on IG and wanted to try to CASE it. https://stampinantics.blogspot.com/2018/06/June-ff.html
My card is slightly thinner than normal. I had already cut the DSP to 4 inches wide. But, it was fine, because it allowed me to allow the flower to hang off the edge a bit.

What a stunning card this is! Your sponging is flawless and makes these gorgeous colors sing! I love the bit of thread you used behind this beautiful bloom too! ~Karen.

Hello Michelle!
I've looked through your gallery a bit and stopped on this card. Since you took the time to take a nice long look at all three of my "Beautiful Day" cards I thought it was befitting to comment on yours (she smiles).
I am assuming you used Stampin Up Reinker colors with an aqua brush to paint with - yes? You did a lovely, lovely job with them. You asked me if I would recommend the Zigs. After learning they are not light fast, I probably wouldn't have purchased as big a set as I did. I do like them, but I would be so sad to send a card that I had really put my heart into and find that it lost half it's color a year later.
But, but... they are fun to use and I love the color choices. Make sure you use the right paper with them (I would suggest Strathmore Bristol Smooth or you might try Canson Montival which is a watercolor paper with more tooth to it). The color from Zigs tends to soak into the paper so it's important to find a paper that will allow the color to easily spread and blend. Another way to use Zigs is to scribble the color on a clear acrylic block and pick the color up with your aqua brush from the block and apply it to the paper. I have tried and like both ways.
Long story short - if you decide to try a set, start with a small set, and I'd start with the Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper. Be sure to let me know how you like them.
