I love Thoreau and I think this is a great challenge.
Here is a simple Hawaiin note for a simple Hawaiian Day.
For something being so simple, can someone explain why it took me an hour and a half to create something I was happy with? I have three other panels that didn't work before landing on this one. It's ok - I love the process. I'm just not very fast and I make it anything but simple lol

This is a great card. I love leaves as the focal image!

This turned out wonderfully! I'm not surprised that it took you a couple of tries to get what you were aiming for. Clean and simple styling looks deceptively easy...but we know it is not!

Oh, I think CAS is anything but quick. (I have my own name for quick and easy but it doesn't sound right - queasy). They can take far longer than a busier card, because everything has to be just right, no tolerance. Your different shades of leaves are really lovely, almost like generational stamping. I hope the other pieces you didn't use will get made up into something else further down the road.

Lovely inkings of your fronds in the corner with your pretty mix of colors! I agree - simple isn't always quick! sometimes it's harder to create CAS than mixed media!

Gorgeous! I love the muted colors of the leaves and perfect placement! I'm in the same club.....the simple cards are very difficult at times....for me, it's a balance issue with the elements mostly......
