I can't imagine anything more painful than the loss of a child. Your card is so beautiful and touching. I love the photograph too. Thank you for sharing this.

Welcome to SCS. Your card and photo speaks a thousand words, yet finding the words to write inside your lovely card has been a struggle in my experience. Heartfelt sympathies. ❤️

The card that nobody wants to have to make - I'm so sorry you needed it but you did a beautiful job, it's sober without being dreary and the soft colours and patterns make me think of a favourite comorting quilt. Welcome to the gallery, I hope you'll share more cards with us!
Thank you ladies. I made this card for a class that I have this month. I am letting them color the ribbon what ever color they need. I chose this one in memory of my son. He would have been 14 this month. Hard? Yes. But I believe God has given me the gift of helping others through cardmaking. Smiles are the universal language. Therefore, I am determined to use the gift given me. Sending Smiles Across Miles. This also helps me see that my son also had a purpose. Smiles and tears are just as necessary as each breath we take. Blessings to all - ShellyJo

Oh, ShellyJo, my heart goes out to you as I have witnessed my sister's pain from the loss of two of her sons; one at childbirth and one at 21 from colon cancer. I can't image the pain you deal with but I know it can be intense. Your card is wonderful and I love the teddy bear and his necklace with what I assume is your son's name. I am very touched by your card and story. Sending hugs your way, and a special welcome to Splitcoaststampers! Looking forward to more of your creations!

This is a lovely card Shelly. You are doing a good thing to share through doing a class so that others can have beautiful cards like this to help spread the love and hugs.
