Watercolor? Why not throw in a fancy fold too and really paralyze me? Well, here is my attempt at watercoloring some fall trees. I actually have two of these cards now, because I figured if I tried to make two then one of them might come out good. Nope. They both look like they were made by a third grader. A look that I just decided to embrace halfway through the card. I have one set of cheap watercolors that have a shimmer to them which is pretty neat. So the card does have a fabulous shimmer IRL. I put down the splotches and waited for them to dry a bit, then I put down a paper towel like in the video. Then I drew my trees and ground. But then I didnât know what to do. So I stamped some birds. But they didnât match the third grade feel of the card. Neither did the sentiment stamp that I had planned to use. So I traced around the birds to make them look hand-drawn and I found this sentiment that I thought matched the style of the card pretty well. Added a doodled border because those always make me feel better.

I think you did a great job stepping out into something new. And even if you don't love it right now, you may suddenly have an inspiration that completes it one day when you least expect it. That subconscious creativity thing, you know?
