This card was an experiment as I had never used vellum paper with an embossing folder.
The embossing folder is an Apple Blossom design available from CraftStash.
Once embossed the vellum was wrapped around blue card layer to provide background colour. Attach with tape rather than glue for a firmer fix.
Mount this with foam tape onto white glitter paper before attaching to the card base.
So, what did I learn...The vellum becomes brittle when it is embossed. This made it difficult to fold around the background card. With hindsight it might have been easier to make the folds before embossing.
I would definitely try this again perhaps experimenting with the "sandwich' on the die cutting machine for less pressure.

Welcome to the galleries Julie. I've never tried embossing on vellum, you have inspired me to give it a go.
You will find lots of inspiration here and find fun daily challenges on the HOME page and lots of great information on the START HERE thread on the main Forums page. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Congratulations on starting your own gallery! What a beautiful card to be the first one posted. Love the embossed vellum look. Fabulous embossing folder to use for this idea. It is wonderful to see and read about someone's experiment with a new technique. Thanks for sharing what you learned. Love your card. The sparkle is a nice touch!
