It is the time for graduation cards and I need a number of them. I watched Jennifer McGuire's split card technique and thought it would be fun to use for graduation cards. Here is the link to her video:
I wouldn't say these were quick but it was fun. I stamped all the balloons adding the graduation sentiment to the balloon with Happy on it and the sprinkles on the other balloons. I stamped several stars as well using this new gold ink I have. And then sat and die cut all the pieces. Then, the fun was assembling balloons and stars in the center of the card stock. It is a little nerve-wracking to cut the piece in half but that is where you get the two card fronts. To add to the festive nature, I stenciled the Mod DecoArt stencil on the sides using the gold ink. I think it looks somewhat like fireworks.
Everything is adhered directly to the card front except for the balloon with the sentiment, that is popped up with foam tape.
On some of the cards I added a narrow strip of gold glitter paper. This is the second of three pairs.
Thanks for looking.

Gorgeous cards Catherine. I love the colors, the split card design, the circles and the stars. I am fond of that sparkly gold strip you used too! ~Karen.
