A work colleague lost her mother a couple of weeks ago. Tough situation, as she hadn't even been able to visit her since mid-March :-(. Another girl in work asked for a sympathy card, so after looking at the two in my stash, I also quickly pulled this together last night and it's the one that was picked.
Embossed the base, rubbed the edges lightly with Delicata gold.
Stamped the image, coloured with Polychromos pencils, sponged the edges with Antique Linen, and matted onto deep blue. Tied some seam binding over. I also tried wrapping it under the image panel, but as it's sheer enough for the stamping to show through, I left it on top. Added a bow. Actually, I was looking for some tied silver cording which was on my desk the other day, but I didn't have time to excavate. Stamped the sentiment, lightly swiped the edges with gold and tucked it under the bow. I decided to add some silver butterflies to finish it off.

Sabrina, this is beautiful! It grabbed my attention from the thumbnail. Exquisite. So sorry for the reason you needed to create this card. How heartbreaking to be unable to see the ones we love before they pass away. :( Hugs.

What a gorgeous sympathy card this is Sabrina. Your embossed bg is so pretty and so elegant which is perfect for a calla lily image. Love the dainty sparkly butterflies, the tiny sentiment tag and your gorgeous bow! ~Karen.
