A one layer card from me today for Tickle a Teapotter day. Very unlike me, but there's plenty of shimmer and shine on it. Today's guest hostess is Shelly and she has challenged us to make an Asian inspired card with extra cookies for adding mountains. I was inspired by the teapot to make my own little Asian teapot. I designed the teapot card cut file for the ScanNCut using a tutorial from Julie Fei Fan Balzer. And then I went to work at decorating it. Sponged in the purple mountains, some green grass, and a hint of blue sky. It needed some cherry blossoms, so I stamped those in a light gray and colored them up with SN CR1 and CR2. It was a good day to get out my Kanji stamp set and I thought that "Tranquility" fit the scene best. Of course it needed Stickles on the flowers and Wink of Stella on the mountains. This was fun to make! Thanks for the challenge, Shelly!

Tranquility is exactly what your scene inspire love the branches of cherry blossoms and what a fantastic setting your teapot makes for those banks of mountains - really lovely card.

What an ingenious way to add the Asian element, especially on this vintage teapot, those flowers make it look like it's an old china pattern, it's really cool!!! Such a beautifully shaped card, I haven't seen a teapot card this large, and yours looks so realistic too--your light blue shading on the edges really gives a lot of depth and beauty.
