So, I came across this. Inside the Beijos events site. and I said to my self, that would make a stunning Christmas card if you could pull it off... and so, I started out cutting the poinsettias ( Impression Obsession and spellbinders from watercolor paper and then painting them with this shimmery white kuretake paint. the Penny Black & Fern were cut from some soft seafoam cs and colored with the oxide inks. and then for shimmer I did add some of the off white watercolor paint to them too. the Eucalyptus, verdant & scribble leaves were cut from Vellum. The bitty white blooms with beads on them came from a Package from Hobby lobby. ( some have glitter), The centers of the poinsettias have some Nuvo dragon scale dream drops and the Berries on the penny black branches have some nuvo simply white crystal drops on them. Underneath the two largest layers of Poinsettias are some really old Making Memories ( came cut) sheer netting type flower shapes. The sentiment is up on foam pop dots. I am fairly pleased with this one although I probably should have made one of the floral clusters just a bit bigger. There is a closer look at the center here on the blog. Thanks for this challenge Kia, & tfl.
