I absolutely LOVE gingko leaves, but I've only used my Stampin' Up! (SU) "Beautifully Braided" stamp set one time since I bought it a year ago. When I saw the challenge was to use shades of green, I knew I wanted to use these beautiful gingko leaves. I started by stamping the leaves three times at different angles using Versamark ink on light green cardstock. I then dusted the stamped images with white embossing powder and heat set until they were glossy.
I had recently gotten some shimmer paint that I wanted to try out. So I brushed the paint over the top of the leaves to give them extra shimmer.
I mounted the stamped panel onto a darker green card base, then added tiny pearls to the "seed" spot locations.
The final step was to stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set onto white cardstock. I punched it out using a banner punch, and glued it to a 1" strip of the darker green cardstock. This matted sentiment was then attached to the card front using foam strips.
I am rating the difficulty level as a "2" out of a possible "5".
