This card was made for a sketch challenge. I'm so tired of winter and Christmas cards, that I swung the other way completely and created a summertime card!
The paper is a brand new product offered by Stampin' Up! (SU) called "New Horizons". Every sheet has different colors and different horizon patterns.
I created the "water" using retired SU die set and it's matching stamp set to create the sailboats. I fussy cut the boats and sails, then mounted the boat itself with mini glue dots that were rolled up to give the hulls some dimension. For the sails, which I wanted to be curved, I put a narrow piece of foam tape in the center of each sail, then a tiny glue dot flat at each of the three corners. I then curved the sail so it was higher in the center and attached to each boat. The curve is quite noticeable in-person.
I am rating the difficulty of this card as a "2" out of a possible "5" because the boats had to be fussy cut by hand.
