This is my card for the final round of Alphabet Challenge 16 - zipper. I used a color challenge from a few weeks ago (substituted Melon mambo for Magenta Madness), a sketch challenge from the end of April, and used yesterday's technique lover's challenge to complete this card. No designer paper was harmed in the making of this card.
For the first layer, I smooshed Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo on my Stained Glass stencil here and ther, spritzed it with water and pressed the Bristol Smooth paper onto it. Dried it and then ink blended those colors over where they printed on the paper.
For the next layer, I created a panel with the same colors using the wrinkle free distress technique. When it was dry, I stamped the teeth of the zipper randomly around the panel using Night of Navy ink. It makes a fun texture. I also ink blended a Night of Navy border all around this panel for a faux layer look.
The focal image I followed yesterday's TLC challenge and embedded a golden balloon in the embossed panel. To make my little border of balloons, I die cut them from the color challenge colors, stamped texture on them with their same ink color using other stamps in the Celebrate Today stamp set, and popped them up at different levels.
I had a lot of fun making this. Thank you for all the challenges, it was fun to combine them this way. Thank you for looking!

The stamping from the zipper teeth make a great little pattern for the background. You really got a lot of challenges covered with this one. Love the colors in it1

Like how you got your zipper in...adds a nice design texture to your WFD background! Creative sketch layout! I'm going to have to try the embedded image technique! LOVE your color combination background techniques...each are so pretty! GREAT card, Catherine!
