I was out of town when the October tickle challenge went up. I don't have much in the way of food stamps or images of any type so was a bit baffled. Even if I'd been home, it would have taken a while to come up with an idea. Good old Pinterest came to the rescue. I often search for handmade cards with a descriptive word in front, like pasta etc. and I can across this idea to make pasta with yarn, felt and paper 'parmesan cheese'. I cut a gold plate and added some decoration around the edge with my bone folder. I found some fun quotes about pasta and chose this one. I just ate pasta last night. I'm so disappointed, my grocery store is no longer carrying my favorite pasta; I will have to go hunting for it.
This is also for the second to last ABC17 challenge-y is for yarn. How fortuitous!
Thanks for the challenges! Sorry I'm a bit late with the pasta tickle, this has been mailed.

This is just too fun reminding me of my days as a kindergarten teacher and how yarn was a cheap and clever way to make hair, spaghetti, spider webs, necklaces, etc. It had so many uses. The possibilities were endless.

Sorry I didn't notice this in the gallery, Jean. I absolutely love it. It reminds me of a time when my kids were young and a local ice cream shop had a Father's Day special of "spaghetti and meatballs". The spaghetti was soft serve ice cream piped onto a plate. The sauce was strawberry sauce, the meatballs were chocolate ice cream balls and the parmesan cheese was crushed peanuts. Hubby was sure surprised when we pulled up to this place for dinner.
