This card is for today's Alphabet Challenge letter H for Hot Wheels. I took my inspiration from the flame logo and ran with it. I used today's sketch to make my card.
First I added Color Burst powders to my panel and sprayed with water playing with it until I liked the result. This is the "flame" of the logo. I die cut it with my Paris Edge die and focused on my main image.
I wanted a birthday cake with a lot of candles on it but I wanted it to be bigger than the image actually is. I masked the cake (actual image is in the upper right corner of the photo) and stamped it down, then used a Copic multiliner to draw two more cake layers and the plate.
I colored this image with Copics and fussy cut. After adhering it to my panel, I added a little shadowing to ground it. The sentiment is heat embossed and popped up. I added three sequins to complete the card. (Edit: I have added this to this week's CAS gallery, if it isn't CAS enough, please let me know.)
This was a fun card to make, love the sketch. Thanks for the challenges and thanks for looking!

What a GREAT card! I love how you've balanced the bright and bold panel with the "lace-like" edge and anchored it all on a simple, serene grey base. Beautiful!
Thank you so much for playing along with this week's sketch!
