Still catching up on Featured Stamper challenges I missed, this time it is Girlia. I chose this card from her gallery as I was positive I had a vintage airliner stamp somewhere:
Well, it turned out I did not, or at least I couldnât find one. But I did find a bag of collage bits I cut out years ago, including lots of images from an old pinup calendar. I found this lovely lady posing in front of a Midcentury airliner and decided that would have to get close enough. I also kept the map background and pulled in the dark red from behind Girliaâs card.
I made a card base from tan cardstock and layered on some map print pattern paper where I had inked the edges, and a strip of dark red paper. I stamped two suitcase images in sepia ink. I layered the pinup image onto a rectangle of darker brown cardstock and attached it to the card front with foam tape. I added two postage stamp images and the sentiment to finish.
Congrats again, Girlia, hope it was a great week!

WOW, Colleen. This is a super collage and so fun with those vintage images. Totally captures the message and feel of the inspiration card. Great cared!
