Today's Ways to Use It Challenge is to use something postal -- like postage cancellation stamps or faux postage. This was my first attempt at making faux postage stamps. Luckily I remembered I got a tiny postage stamp die when I bought my Cuttlebug many years ago, so I die-cut a bunch of blank stamps. I then masked the edges and found small Christmas stamps that would work as a postal image. I colored the images with pencils, added a few silver details, then sponged ink in the unfilled areas. When I removed the masking, they were pretty convincing faux stamps. It's fun and could get addictive. I hope you can find a way to join the fun with this week's Ways to Use It Challenge. My cards also follow this week's sketch, SC986.

Great die cut so perfect for faux postage stamps. I recently got a postage die cut and have yet to use it. I just got it added to my Evernote so I can quickly find it when the next postage challenge comes along. I love the CAS feel to your card too.

Great job making the faux postage! Cute images to fill the stamps!

I had to look that Cuttlebug set up - it's cool. I think I'd get far more use from the die than from the embossing paet. I'm glad you had it, those are so realistic looking, just like the more modern self-adhesive stamps that just peel off the backing.
