The challenge is to make something magical and what is more magical the night sky with fireworks and the big moon looking on, besides I didnÂ’t have a castle or wizards and snowflakes didnÂ’t sound like fun.
I first stamped the moon and colored with white crayon. I then stamped the fireworks and heat embossed with color. Stamped the lighthouse and colored with markers. Then itÂ’s time to do the polished stone technique using lighter blue near the fireworks then darker further out. If ink gets on the moon it wipes off easy with a paper towel, what doesnÂ’t is just character of nature. I was careful to keep the blue off the lighthouse area without masking and this card took 40 minutes with time to test and decide on a few embellishments. Oh, and I got impatient and blotted some of the ink before it dried. My timer was ticking and we're only allowed forty five minutes per card!
