I just bought this old hostess set (I'm not a demo -- so I don't mind that it is old) and I love it. Here is my first try witht he iris (one of my fav flowers).
I stamped the image with Black StazOn and then embossed with clear ep. Then I used my ink pads and a watercolor brush to add the color. I think it looks like stained glass.
The background is an idea I got from Dini's blog (http://mamadinis.blogspot.com/2006/1...-tutorial.html ) and I love it !! I can't stop making them. I found the ribbon in a craft store when I was in Escondido California last week -- it matched perfectly. Gotta love it when that happens.

I love using this scrap layout that my demo taught me, I have to check out the blog and see if Dini does it the same, thanks for the link!
As for the card, I really like the color combo and it's another great layout, TFS!

thanks for all the info....checked the blog....looks like a great way to use those scraps. Plus fun! Loved the card! I just found this set at a garage sale....I think I found 2 treasures this weekend...you card and the set! Whoo-hoo!
